Privacy at a glance
FileMaster 3000 is built so your files stay on your computer. The desktop app reads local disks to show previews and to extract text you explicitly selected for chat. We do not upload your filesystem to the FileMaster website.
Shopast Group Oy operates FileMaster 3000, a local desktop file manager and the accompanying website for downloads, accounts, and billing. We process personal data only for the purposes described below, do not sell it, and do not use it for third-party advertising.

1. Controller and data we collect
The controller is Shopast Group Oy. You can contact us at support@filemaster3000.com.
Depending on how you use FileMaster, we may collect:
- Nothing from your disks by default. Browsing, previews, search indexing, OCR, editing, and local models run on your machine. The website never receives file bytes, folder listings, or extracted document text.
- Account and contact details you provide when you sign in, typically an email address and authentication identifiers.
- Subscription and billing records needed to administer FileMaster Plus (not full payment-card details).
- Support and feedback you choose to send us.
- Technical, security, and service logs for the website and the Beam pairing endpoint, such as timestamps, IP address, device/browser data, and errors.
When you use a cloud model with your own API key, the desktop app sends only the context you selected directly to that provider. We do not receive the key, the prompt, or the response. Ollama keeps prompts on your computer.
2. Purposes and legal bases
Contract
We process account, download, and transaction data to provide the website, authenticate you, deliver FileMaster Plus, and send sign-in or purchase emails you requested.
Legitimate interests
We process limited technical, security, and support data to keep the website and Beam pairing reliable, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. We balance these interests against your rights.
Legal obligations
We retain or disclose information where needed for accounting, tax, consumer-protection, fraud-prevention, or other legal duties.
Consent
Where consent is required we ask separately. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
3. Recipients and international transfers
We disclose personal data only to processors and other recipients needed for the purposes above:
- Identity, database, and storage providers: authentication and account records.
- Cloud hosting, content-delivery, and security providers: the marketing website and the Beam pairing endpoint. Beam relays only the WebRTC handshake between two devices you pair; it never sees file names or file bytes.
- Payment processors: payment and subscription administration when you purchase Plus. We do not receive your full card number.
- Email delivery providers: sign-in links, receipts, and support replies.
Cloud AI providers you connect with your own key are not our processors for that traffic. The desktop talks to them directly under their terms. We may also disclose data to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary to comply with law or defend legal claims.
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for more information about relevant safeguards.
4. Retention and security
Local files, previews, search indexes, OCR output, and on-device models remain on your computer until you delete them. We cannot remotely erase that data.
We keep account and service data while your account is active and then only as long as needed for deletion, disputes, or legal obligations. Transaction and accounting records may be retained for the period required by Finnish law. Beam pairing rooms expire after ten minutes. Security logs and backups are kept for limited operational periods.
To request account and personal-data deletion, email support@filemaster3000.com. We complete verified deletion requests without undue delay, normally within 30 days, except for records we must retain or need for legal claims.
We use encrypted transport, access controls, and other proportionate safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman of Finland or your local supervisory authority.
To exercise a right, email support@filemaster3000.com. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing unless this notice expressly says otherwise.
6. Cookies and device storage
The FileMaster website uses cookies or similar storage that is strictly necessary for authentication, security, and requested functionality:
- Authentication cookies (
sb-zegyvrkbrraijkcozgkf-auth-token, possible numbered chunks, and a temporary-code-verifiercookie): keep the account signed in, rotate authentication tokens, and complete magic-link sign-in. They are first-party cookies and may remain for up to 400 days unless you sign out or the session is revoked.
These cookies are set only when you sign in. They are not used for advertising. The desktop app stores settings, indexes, and keys locally on your device; removing them through the app or your operating system may reset those choices.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. We will ask before setting non-essential analytics or similar storage where consent is required.
7. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and they may not create an account. If you believe a child provided personal data contrary to this rule, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this notice when our processing or legal duties change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required.
