The explorer is free forever: dual panes, previews, editing, and network drives. Plus unlocks Beam device-to-device transfer, Ask AI chat (Ollama or your own provider key), workbook chat through the data stack, the local search index, Live Text with vision fallback, and AI-assisted image edits.
Not through FileMaster. Previews, extraction, indexing, and OCR run on your computer. If you choose a cloud model, the desktop sends only the snippets you selected straight to that provider with your key. The website never receives file bytes.
No. Download and use the explorer without signing in. An account is only needed to buy Plus and to restore that entitlement on another machine.
No. Plus unlocks FileMaster features. Ollama stays local. Cloud providers you connect with your own key bill you under their terms.
Yes. Plus is a monthly Stripe subscription. Cancel from the billing portal or your account page; you keep Plus until the end of the paid period. EU/EEA consumers also have a 14-day withdrawal right as described in the Terms of Use.
Windows, macOS, and Linux from the same codebase. Windows is first-class for network drives and on-device Live Text.
